How is Brick Quantity Calculated?

Waste factors of 3-10% are added depending on cutting requirements, breakage during handling, and bond pattern complexity. Headers and corners require more cutting, increasing waste.

- Openings are not deducted automatically — subtract window and door areas from the wall area before entering it, then keep some waste factor for the extra cutting around those openings
- Mortar quantity is not calculated here — estimate it separately from the joint thickness and wall thickness, since it is a significant cost item on large walls
